I just finished a fantasy baseball book - the details of which I won't waste your time with here - and read Team of Rivals, by Doris Kearns Goodwin, about Abraham Lincoln, which was Good.

I made the same mistake. Apparently, Thomas Wolfe /= Tom Wolfe.
Funny you should say that. In the Clive James interview I linked to a while back he says, "You know you're getting old when the youngsters talk about the wrong Thomas Wolfe."
I'm talking the contemporary of Hemingway and Fitzgerald and Faulkner.

In my defense, you have referred to Thomas and Tom Brady interchangeably.
In my offense (?), I had never heard of the other Thomas Wolfe.
